Chrismtas tree 2007

We got our tree on Monday evening after work. When Andy was young, him and his dad would go out every year and cut down their own tree so Andy wanted to carry that tradition on with his own family. So that's what we did. We bundled up, went out on the wagon, and hiked for our tree. Andy cut it down and the guy was nice enough to drag it back for us since we both had our hands full carrying the girls. The night was getting late after Andy fought wtih the cheap tree stand we had all night so decorating had to wait for Tues night. So, Tuesday night we got all our decorations out and put them all on the tree. Mianna loved putting on the ornaments this year! Every time she put one on, she got all excited and we all got hugs! :) It was very cute! Hadley played with the garland all night. The best part was looking at all the ornaments and remembering the memories that went with them. When the tree was all decorated, Andy lifted Mianna up to put the angel on the top. We decided this would be a tradition when Mianna was born; ok, I decided this would be a tradition seeing that i love traditions :) Since Mianna was born, she always put up the angel. Actually this is the first year that she could literally put it on the tree. She felt pretty special. Were going to have to think of a tradition for Hadley so she doenst feel left out... The tree turned out very cute. Last night I was sitting on the couch getting all teary eyed as I couldn't take my eyes off it thinking how lucky Andy and I are to have such a special family! God has been so good to us! Thank you God!!!!

Fun in the snow

Mianna's been pretty excited with all the snow we've been getting. Last wk, we decided to go out and play! It was cold, but she kept saying she didn't want to go in so we kept playing. We made snow angels, sled down the little hill in the backyard where i work, and trampled through the deep snow. The hill was icey so the sled went really fast. I'm not sure she liked that so much, so she decided to slide down on her butt instead. She actually went pretty fast so i decided to try it out. It was a lot of fun! I'm not sure who had more fun, her or me! :)

Christmas festivites

Last wkd, Andy and I decided to take the girls to the Live Nativity Stable in Cedarburg. It was very cute. It was all acted out by grade school children. It was nice to give Mianna a better picture of where baby Jesus was born and how it was back then. The only thing I wonder is if she really thought that was the actual baby Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. I think maybe at first she did, but then i explained to her that they were just pretending to be them to show us what it was like. I think maybe she understood a little bit. Anyways, it was very nice to see and even though it was a bit cold, I'm glad we went. We stayed for about 1/2 hour watching and singing Christmas songs with them, then we left because the girls were getting cold. I highly recommend checking it out. It was very cute and gives the little ones a better picture of where Jesus was born. It is every Friday before Christmas from 6:30-7:30 in Cedarburg.

After that, we decided to take a ride to Belgium to see the house that lights up to music. It was very cool. We went last year too. Mianna enjoyed it a lot this year. If you've never been there, I would check it out! You turn on your radio to a specific station and the lights on the house light up with the music. This year they had a big sign lit up that said, "Jesus is the reason for the season." I was very impressed. I hope we can go again!

MRI and Ultra sound update

Hadley's MRI and Ultra sound results came back. As for the MRI, everything looked great. The cartilage where the bones will be forming where right in place meaning this issue is nothing more than scoliosis. As for the ultra sound, the Dr said that her kidneys look a bit small for her age. She didn't know what that meant so she called the urology Dr and got back to me the next day. That Dr said as of right now because she's so young, there not too worried about it, but they want her to get another ultra sound in a year to make sure they are growing properly. I don't know what it means to have small kidneys, but I think I'd rather not so I don't worry about the unknown. Right now, were not worried about it. I think they'll catch up :)
We have another apt with the orthopedic in Feb. to follow up on Hadley's spine. If it continues to curve more, then she will be put in a brace. If it gets better, chances are it will straighten out on its own.

Christmas cookie baking day

Every year since I was a little girl, my sister and I would always have a Christmas cookie baking day with my mom. We'd even get to play hookie from school for it! :) It's been one of my favorite traditions. This year, we had help from our little cookie bakers! It was a lot of fun to carry on the tradition with our own daughters. I had a lot of fun spending some quality time with my mom and sister and look forward to it next year!

Hadley's MRI update

Hadley had her MRI and ultra sound yesterday and it went great! It was about a thousand times better than her X-rays. She was so good! First we had her ultra sound and she just stared at the lady wondering what she was doing to her belly. She sat there so patiently for not eating for 6 hours. Then we went down to the MRI department. First a lady came out to tell us the procedure. She said they were going to try the sleepy medicine first, but if Hadley were to move at all, we'd have to do it all over again wtih an IV. She said that she will cry while they give her the medicine because it tastes yucky. So, after the talk, we went to her cold MRI room and she proceeded to giving her the medicine. Hadley kept spitting it out so she called in the "expert" who is good at this job. Well, Hadley kept spitting it out, but did not cry. They needed her to cry because that's how they get babies to take it, but Hadley still did not cry. They said they've never had a baby who didn't cry. :) So, in stead they made her smile and laugh and that's how they slipped the medicine in her. She was such a sweetie! Then i rocked her to sleep at we got her set up. Andy and I stayed in the room and watched her while the nurses watched from outside. Hadley didn't move for the first 45 min, then i saw her leg kick. Andy fell asleep so i quickly woke him up and told him i thought she moved. But she was still again. Then she started kicking. I thought, oh no! I don't want her to have to do the IV. So i look out the window to see if they see and they did. But they waited a minute to see if she'd sit still again, but she kept kicking. I just wanted to grab her and hold her. Then the lady came in and said, "I just talked to the radiologist and we can be done." I was so relieved! They pulled her out and i held her right away. She was really out of it from the medicine. They took her vitals and i got to fill her tummy up. She did so good!!!!! Thank you so much for your prayers. We will not get the results back till early next wk, so ill keep you posted! :)

Hadley's MRI and Ultra sound

Hadley has her scheduled MRI and Ultra Sound this Thursday! Her Ultra sound is at 8 and her MRI is at 9. She can not eat 6 hours before. I wasn't too worried because she was sleeping from 8 pm-8am and didn't wake up starving, but for the last couple days she has been waking up around 12/1am and again at 5/6am starving. She must be going through a growth spurt. I hope she is done with it by Thursday because I will not be able to feed her after 2am! Please pray that the process goes well and maybe she'll just sleep through it so they don't have to put the tube down her throat. Were going to try to keep her up more at night so she's super tired! Also pray for Andy and I. Its going to be a hard morning! Thanks!

Andy's new hobby

I had to share what Andy's been doing on his free time at night because I think it is so cute and sweet. He decided to take up Crocheting! He was looking for a cheap hobby he can do once in awhile and he chose to crochet! When we were at wal-mart and he told me this, I just laughed because if you know Andy, he likes to "get into" stuff, but doesn't carry it through. Or gets boared in a day. :) But it would only cost 2$ to get the stuff and he really wanted to give it a try so we got it! And he's been working on a scarf for me for the last month! Its coming along very well. He only had to start over once. He even took it to work so a lady could help with him it on his lunch break :) And at the store, he got help from the ladies in the craft department. They said that actually a lot of men take on crocheting. I was surprised! I will post his master piece when it is all done so you can see what a beautiful job he does. Feel free to put a request in for something. It might be done in a year :)

Christmas Parade

Andy and I decided to take the girls to the Christmas parade last Saturday. It was freezing out! We stayed for about and hour and had to go; it was too cold for them. Unfortanetely the parade was so spread out, we didnt get to see as much as we'd like. But Mianna got to see some sesame street characters and got a couple candy canes so she was happy :)

Hadley sits alone!

Hadley is getting so big already! She's sitting up all by her self! She seems too little to be doing this already :( It goes too fast! She also likes to stand now! So different from Mianna. Mia didnt sit alone till she was 9 months old and never liked to stand. :)

Hadley's orthopedic Apt.

Hadley had her orthopedic apt yesterday at Children's Hospital. Theres good news and bad.
The good news is that the Dr was very optimistic about Hadley. He said "She is a perfect baby." He was not worried about her torticollis at all because she had a great range of motion. He said she does have a significant scoliosis with two 30 degree curves, but because we caught it now, she will be just fine. He said if we didn't catch it and she wasn't under any care, then we should worry. They said the curves have to get up to 80 degrees in order for them to crush the lungs and they wouldn't let it get to that! He also said he sees scoliosis a lot in babies so its not that uncommon. Hadley was so good for them. She was so smiley and just wanted to play with them as they were examining her :) So, that's the good news!
The bad news however is she needs a MRI. This could be bad and good i guess. Good because they are being precautious about anything that could be possibly going on. They want to see the cartilage where the bones are forming to make sure they are growing right. This will determine the next step. Whether it be a brace or just monitoring her for awhile. Surgery is not in the picture right now and hopefully never will be. The MRI is bad because first of all, she has to lay completely still for an hour! First they will try to just make her sleepy and hopefully she just sleeps through it, but if she moves, they have to put her to sleep. To do this, she would have to have a tube put down her throat. Being the mother, I didn't like this at all. Just the thought of a tube down my babies throat and putting her to sleep on a cold hard bed really scares me. I wasn't feeling too good after knowing she will have to do that, but Andy reminded me that she is at the best Children's Hospital and they do it all the time so their experienced. Yes, this is true, but its my baby there doing it to! But i have to remember, God is in control! I personally think if there going to put my baby to sleep and put her through this, they better put me to sleep too so I don't have to sit there while there doing it! The other bad thing about this is Hadley can't eat 6 hours prior to the MRI. Its going to be really hard for me not to feed Hadley when she's hungry. That's my job! But the receptionist said she'd try to get an early morning apt to make it easier for us to do that. She is going to call us today with the time this will be taking place.
Hadley will possibly also need an ultra sound to check her kidneys. This is just a routine thing they do with all kids who have scoliosis. Nothing to worry about.
So, this is all we know as of now. Please continue to pray for Hadley and her situation. Also for Andy and I during the process of the MRI. This will be a hard day for me! Thanks for your cares and prayers!

Family free day at the zoo

After a long crazy week last wk, we thought we all deserved a play day! We decided to take the girls to the family free day at the Zoo on Saturday. We all had a lot of fun. And it wasn't even that cold out. We met up with the Ferguson's, which was great because its been awhile since we got to hang out. We also got a chance to use our new wagon! :)

Updates on Mianna and Hadley

We are so thankful that last wk is over!!! It was a busy crazy wk with all the Dr apts and trips to Children's Hospital.
Here are the latest updates:

As for Mianna, we had her apt on Friday. She went in very well. I got her changed in the dressing room. There were lockers in there just like at the YMCA when we go swimming. So the first thing she says when we get in there is, "We go swimming!"
I felt so bad! Of course I said, no and explained what was going to happen. She still didn't understand very much.


After getting her gown on, we went to the waiting room till she was called. When we got in the xray room, the nurse explained to Mianna what was going to happen. Then they had her lay on the bed with nurses all around her. Andy and I got to be up by her head holding her hands. They walked through all the procedures with her as they were doing it. First they washed her off with a cold soapy cloth and believe it or not, she screamed and cried more for that part than any other one. She said it stung. After that they put the catheter in. She cried, but did better than the washing part. Then they did the xrays and she was very good! The results were the same as last year. She had the urinary reflux still on her left side, grade 2, 5 being the worst. So, we have to continue her antibiotics and check again next year. We just hope that she will out grow it by the age of 6 so she doesn't have to have the surgery. In the end, she got a lot of stickers and they gave her a Dora coloring kit for being so good. Then we took her to the mall to get some ice cream! She was such a big strong girl!

As for Hadley, on Wed night after her Dr apt last wk, we decided to go to a so called pediatric chiropractor who freaked us out. He talked to us for awhile, then checked her out. He looked at her and was shocked. He said she has probably a 25 degree curve. I asked if that was bad and he bluntly says, "yes." He said we need to get to Children's asap. I looked at Andy and I think we both turned ghostly white. The last thing you want to hear as parents is that your child has something bad wrong with her. He was making it sound like Hadley was horrible! He said he never saw this in a baby. Of course he said he should be able to fix this in 2 months! hmm.... So, we left feeling pretty scared! The next day, Thursday, Andy was in panic mode and wanted to get to Children's right away, so we went that afternoon to get her xrays. That was HORRIBLE! They put bean bags on her legs and arms and put her in a head brace and taped it down to the table. They taped her chin up so she couldn't open her mouth. She was trying to cry, but she couldn't so she was just blowing bubbles. It was so sad!!!! She looked at us like, help me! I don't want to do that again!

We got done and we took the xrays with us so we could go to another chiropractor(Andy and mine). We had a better feeling about him because my family has been going to him for years, and Priscilla goes to him so he is well known. He was not working so we had his coworker evaluate the xrays. He said she definitely has scoliosis(curvature of the spine) and he's never seen it in a 6month old before, but said not to worry because chances are the children's hospital orthopedics have. She also has tortecollis, but we already knew that. When we left, 20 min later I got a call from our chiropractor. His coworker called him and told him what was going on. We thought, WOW, our chiropractor called us on his day off. He must really care. He talked to me for awhile and was very fatherly. He said not to worry. He has a daughter with scoliosis as well so he knows a lot and has a lot of resources. He said he knows the orthopedic Dr's at Children's and he will call them and work with them to accommodate the best solutions for Hadley. We were quite impressed! He also said he has never seen scoliosis in a 6 month old, but he would love to take on her case and work with her. Our insurance only covers 15 visits per year and Hadley would over due that in 3 wks so he said that if money was an issue, not to worry and he'd do it for free! What a praise! God is definitely working things out for the better. What a relief it is to know he is guiding us and is with us every step of the way on our side! We were so thankful. Dr. Ziegler is a christian as well, so we felt pretty sure about our decision to work with him.
We have a orthopedic apt at Children's on Wed. at 4pm. That is when we will have most of our questions answered! They will know what to do with this case whether it be a brace or just monitoring it for awhile. So, please keep that apt in your prayers! We will keep you updated with what they say! Hadley's 6 month apt

Hadley had her 6 month appointment today. We actually just got back a little while ago and shes zonked out from her shots. She weighed 13lbs 14 oz, which was in the 10th % and was 25 1/2" long which was in the 50th %. That was all great! Her development was all right on. There was however one concern that we could really use prayers on. About a month ago, I was looking at Hadley from the back and thought her spine looked crooked. So i asked Andy and he thought it was just her muscles. But we asked anyways, and turns out the Dr. thought maybe it was crooked as well. She also said that she didn't think Hadley's tortecollis(head tilt to one side) was getting any better. The tortecollis is pretty common in babies, but a crooked spine is not. When she said that, the worst conditions popped into my head and I felt like balling my eyes out with fear. She said she is going to put an order in to get x-rays at children's hospital and to see an orthopedic right away. We are going to Children's Hospital on Friday to test for Mianna's urinary reflex so she suggested we get the x-rays then. She suggested going in the morning so we could hopefully get the results back at the end of that same day. After seeing the x-rays, then we'd go to the orthopedic and most likely physical therapy for the neck. Were really nervous about the spine being crooked and it haveing to do with her bone development.
It is all in God's control. He is the only one who knows what is going on. Even though I am very worried and want to cry every time I think about something being wrong, I have been praying instead. Theres nothing worrying is going to help, but praying will. Easier said than done though especially being a worrier already. Anyways, after talking to a few people we had thought about getting a second opinion. Tonight I have to go to the chiropractor for my back and we thought we'd just have them look at Hadley as well. No adjusting, just looking. I'm not sure how I feel about chiropractors and children, but I've heard both sides. Only God knows. So, after we get the x-ray results, if we feel we should, we may have her see a chiropractor. I searched and found a pediatric chiropractor in Cedarburg that I'd feel much more comfortable with if insurance pays for him. I guess we'll just take one step at a time.
Please pray for Friday, its going to be a rough day. Both with Hadley's x-rays and worse the procedure Mianna has to do to check the urinary reflex. I get a sick feeling just remembering how last year went. Please pray for comfort for the girls, wisdom for Andy and I, for wisdom with the Dr's, and for hope that Mianna grew out of her urinary reflex and that Hadley's back is just fine! Thanks so much!!! The Mini Train Station

On Sunday, Andy and I took the girls to the mini train station in Cedarburg out on County M. It was so cute! We got there and there were a lot of people there. Everybody was out enjoying the weather! We didn't really know what this was about, we just heard about it from my brother. I'm not sure where it came from or how long its been there, but it was a lot of fun and were definitely going back. What it is is a little train station. Little mini trains take you for rides through the woods on these little tiny tracks. They have it set up with little barbie vehicles as if your going through an intersection. They toot there horns for that! They also have Little houses and roads set up. The rides are pretty long and the whole thing is FREE! When we got there all we did was hopped on a train.There were no lines. There were like 8 trains going at once. I'm not exactly sure how it works. I think it was put together by some guys who really enjoy trains and anybody who has a little train can come and use the tracks and take people for rides. (I think, not positive). But all i know is it was really cute! Mianna LOVED it! They had a little train with Thomas the train head on the front. Mianna insisted on driving that one! :)
I didn't know about this little train station until last wkd and my guess its not very known. So, for anybody looking for a free activity for your family, check it out! Its definitely worth it! We'll be going back there again, maybe this wkd before they close down for the season. We asked and there are no set hours. They are only open Saturday and Sunday but there are no set times.

Mia's Small Birthday Party

Thursday night, Oct. 18th, Mianna had a small little birthday party since her friend Mya was spending the night. She chose to have Mya, Brianna, Maria, and Isabella. However Maria and Isabella couldnt come. So it was Mya, Brianna, and Mia. They had so much fun. Seeing Mianna smile and laugh all night brought tears to my eyes! The night was all about Mianna and what she wanted to do.
When the party began, the first thing Mianna wanted to do was puzzles. So they did that for awhile while I made her favorite dinner: Macaroni and hot dogs. Then after dinner, they danced to Mianna's favorite dance CD: the YMCA and the Hokie Pokie. They danced and danced and danced. After dancing they played a little ring around the rosies and duck duck goose. Then Mianna opened her presents and we had cake. It was a perfect little birthday party for Mianna. She had so much fun with her friends!

On October 13th, Mianna had a birthday party to celebrate her 3rd birthday. We had it at our church because of the large families and many friends she wanted to invite. She chose Finding Nemo this year for her theme so I made her a Nemo and Dory cake. Her favorite was Dory. She had a great time running around with her cousins and friends while all the adults mingled. It was a great turn out, but I think this may be the last year with the big birthday party. Next year, I think we'll just go with a few friends because she seems to feel more comfortable in small groups. Thanks to everybody who came!

No TV?

No TV?
That's right! For a year now Andy and I haven't had the entertainment of TV. It all started when we moved and we couldn't afford cable TV. Then when we got extra money, we went out and bought the cheapest bunny ears, but they still didn't work, so we upgraded to the next and they still didn't work. In the mean time, we were getting used to this no TV thing and were liking it. But for bad summer weather purposes we decided to get the $30 bunny ears. We got channels, but they were still a bit fuzzy. We had it for about a week, but it just didn't seem right. We were watching the news, which was so depressing and shows that we didn't even really like anymore. It was taking away from our family and reading time. Andy would often stay up really late watching it because he'd be into a show, then the next day would be super tired. And the worst, I found myself worrying about a lot more. It was like an on switch button for my anxiety. Watching the news, hearing all the depressing events happening and no positive really wears off on you. So, after seeing all the negative effects of the TV, we decided to return the bunny ears to the store. We've been without TV ever since and its been great. We really didn't see the negative influence it had on us until we didn't have it for awhile and then we got it again. I couldn't believe what an influence it had. And just to think, were just one family. Just imagine all the bad influence it has on millions of kids and we wonder why the world is the way it is... depression, violence, unrealistic expectations, divorce, etc. I'm not saying the TV is a horrible thing and nobody should watch it. It just depends on what you watch and how you let it influence you. For us, we found it was better to just get rid of it all together.
With all this in mind, I wanted to share a new study I'm doing in Mom's group, "Lies Woman Believe and the Truth that Sets Them Free." I only read the first 2 chapters and it already is opening my eyes and reassured me why we chose not to have TV in our house. Nancy Demoss states,

"The world's deceptive way of thinking comes to us through so many avenues- television, magazines, movies, music, friends, malls, and catalogs, to name a few. A steady diet of these worldly influences will shape our view of what is valuable, what is beautiful, and what is important in life."

That is so true. Looking back I can't believe of how may struggles I went through were influenced with deceptions from some of these resources. I don't think this book should be just for woman. Andy came home the other day getting down about money and worldly possessions; not having a house, fun toys, hobbies, etc. He was definitely influenced by some of his coworkers. After reading the intro to this book, I was like, WOW, this book should be, "The Lies Men and Woman believe" because everything he just poured out to me was a great demonstration of believing one of those lies.... needing materials to be happy. We have more than that. We have God and we have each other. After sharing the book with him, he got right back on track.
Anyways, all this to say, I'm looking forward to reading this book and more things that God reveals to me in my life. I just thought I'd share my new study with all of you and how God is using it already in my life!

Hadley's weight update

I just wanted to update everybody with Hadley's weight. We went in for her recheck last Wednesday to make sure she was gaining weight because at her last apt she was only in the 5th percentile. So, we got there and the nurse asked me, what did she weigh last time. I said, "i think like 11 lbs 14 oz if I remember correctly." Then she looked at her papers and said, "I have down, 11 lbs 2 oz." I was like, hmm, i thought she was more, but whatever, maybe im wrong. Then we weighed her and she was 12 lbs 6oz. The nurse said she would go check that over with the dr and be right back. Well, she came back and said she had good news. Turns out that the nurse that we had at her 4 month check up wrote her weight in wrong in the computer. Hadley did weigh 11 lbs 14 oz, but the nurse wrote it in as 11 lbs 1.4 oz! So, the whole time, Hadley's weight was never down. She was in the 10th percentile the whole time and still is. So, I was worried for no reason! Hadley is growing perfectly! :)

Our trip to the pumpkin patch

This wkd we decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and go to the pumpkin patch. We attempted to go Friday, but they wernt giving hayrides so we decided to wait till Saturday to get our pumpkins. We had a lot of fun! We got four pumpkins and only spent $5.50! I was impressed. Granted our pumpkins were pretty small, but they were perfect for us! Mianna enjoyed picking her pumpkin out and Hadley's. Lucky for us, she goes for the smaller ones! :) She also fed the goats. Something she always talked about, but was always too afraid to do it. She wouldnt do it Friday, but she got brave and did it on Saturday! She's getting braver!
We had a lot of fun this year at the pumpkin patch! And such beautiful weather!
I can't wait until next year when they'll both be picking out there own pumpkins!

Hadley's 4 month Dr. apt

Hadley had her 4 month Dr. appointment last Friday. The Dr. said she looks great! She was 24" long which was the 50th % and 11 lbs 14.4 oz, which was in the 5th %. The Dr. said she would like to see her back in a month because she went down in weight gain. She was born in the 10th %, then went almost up to the 25th, now is down to the 5th. I think it might be because she's been spitting up a lot lately, which she never used to do. But now that we started cereal, hopefully this helps with weight gain! My biggest worry and concern is that it has to do with me and nursing her. I would be so sad if I wasn't giving her enough or if something else is going on. The Dr. wasn't worried about that though, but please pray that she is back up to at least the 10th % in a month! She got 4 shots as well. Mianna was so sweet, she held her hand through all of them. The nurse was SO SLOW! She'd do 1 shot, then put the bandaid on and once Hadley stopped crying, she poked her again! Andy and I were so frustrated! Our last nurse did it in less than 30 seconds and this nurse took at least 5 min! But at least when it was done, we could hold her and comfort her. That night, she pretty much slept all night! I thank God for my two little girls being in such good health! We are so very fortunate to be healthy! So often, we take granted for our good health, but lately I've just been so thankful! Thank you God for the good health of my two little girls and also Andy and I.

Hadley had her first cereal experience on Saturday. She did so good. She loved it right away and wanted more. She was all smiles and kicking! Im not actually sure how much got in her mouth or on her bib that first time, but she wanted more! We have been giving it to her every night and she just loves it! Soon, we'll be moving on to peas and bananas in a jar, then on to finger foods! It goes way too quick! I dont want my babies to grow up!

Camp Forest Springs

For Labor day wkd, we went to Camp Forest Springs! It was a long trip, but I'm happy to say were home for awhile! But the trip was awesome! We all had a great time! Definetely worth the drive!
We got up there pretty late on Friday. Probally around 11pm. We were tired so we went right to bed.
The following morning, we woke up for breakfast, then had our session. This was Mianna's favorite part. Every morning and night we had our bible study, then the kids went off to there classes. But before this, we had worship and they did a puppet show for the kids! It was great! So funny! I think a lot of the adults laughed more than the kids did! Thats all Mianna talked about all wkd. The puppet show! She was still a bit too young for a class so she went in the nursery, but she had a blast! Next year she'll start classes.
In between sessions we had a lot of free time. During that, we went to the beach for awhile, went to the family farm a couple times, did some archery, played at the park, and painted rocks in the craft room. We also did a lot of napping and eating! :) They definetely dont let you go hungry there!
The camp was awesome. We had a great time! We got to spend some time with friends that went as well. The Golemba's, Bernier's, and Krauses! We can't wait to go again next year!

The Rorabeck Reunion

Last wkd we went to Menocqua for the Rorabeck Reunion. Andy's grandparents own a resort up there that we stay in. We stayed in one of the cabins with his parents. Theres so much to do up there and it is so much fun! Its really nice to see all the family again too! We got up there Wednesday night and stayed till Sunday afternoon. On Wed, we got up there pretty late so we didnt do too much, just visited with family. Thursday, we did a little shopping, then Andy took us for a boat ride. Mianna took over the wheel and was pretty excited about that. We also did a little hiking that day as well. Then later that night, we stayed up playing Pit and Phase 10. On Friday everybody went for a ride out to Pirates Island. This is an island that all the guys go to and hide little treasures for the kids, then we pile up on the pontoon boat and take the kids to go find them. Its really cute. The kids really enjoy it! Then we stay there and swim for awhile! That night, we stayed up late again playing games! :) Then Saturday after Grandma made us breakfast, we went to the wildlife zoo there. It was a lot of fun, but Mianna was pooped from not getting enough sleep. On Sunday, everybody went out to Paul Bunyan's for breakfast for Grandpa's birthday. Then we headed for our long journey home! The trip was a lot of fun, but I'd have to say my favorite part was watching Mianna have so much fun with her cousins. She opened up so much and was running around having so much fun! Grandma bought them all flashlights so at night, they would all go bear hunting and pretend to find one and all ran as fast as they could screaming. It was very cute.
We look forward to it again next year :)
