This year the kids and I decided to surpise Andy with our own little thanksgiving dinner on Wednesday before Thanksgiving day. The kids worked hard making cards saying why they are thankful for each other. They also made placemats and name cards. We also made a large thanksgiving tree with leaves saying all the things we are thankful for that God has blessed us with.We made lasagna, bread sticks, jello, and a dessert for dinner. The kids did most of it with a little provision from me with the stove and directions. Right before Andy got home, we dressed up as pilgrims(girls) and Indians(boys). We turned all the lights off and the kids hid in the kitchen where everything was set up. We made Andy close his eyes coming in and surprised him! He was definetely surprised. Before dinner, the kids put on a little skit they had been practicing telling a little bit about the history of Thanksgiving. It was a perfect Thanksgiving! I am so thankful for our family!
