The completion to our family
After 9 very quick, but very long months, Eli David has arrived!
The surgery went very well! I was blessed with an amazing anesthesiologist and of course my awesome Doctor! The treated me very well! Being my 4th Csection, there were quite a bit more risks, but thankfully I came out dealing with none of them! Praise God!
Anyways, the good stuff....
Eli David was 7 lbs 4 oz. 20 in long. He was born at 9:33 am on June 7th! He is a beautiful baby boy! Andy and I are so blessed!
The name game: Eli, Maverik, Eli, Maverik!
So, all throughout the pregnancy, Andy and I kept going back and forth on these 2 names... Come baby day, we still did not have a decision. Before we knew it, the baby was out and we were pressured into picking a name on the spot. So, we said Eli still feeling unsure. We loved the name Eli, however, it wasn't quite as "unheard of" as our other kids' names. Later that morning, we switched the name to Maverik liking it's uniqueness. However, since doing that, we couldn't call him by name. I'd pick him up and call him, buddy or sweetie. Maverik would just not come out when looking at him or holding him. It did not feel right. This little boy was too sweet looking and made the sweetest noises to be a Maverik. Now Grady on the other hand, could def. be a Maverik. He grunted and was a buff little man when he came out ;) But not Eli! He was so gentle, sweet, and made the cutest little sounds. We didn't switch it until the next morning though. I mentioned to Andy I wasn't able to call him by his name because it just didn't seem right. And he said, funny thing... he could not fall asleep that night because he just didn't feel like the name was right either. So, despite the fact there are more Eli's out there than Maverik's, we changed his name back to Eli! He was definitely and Eli in every way possible! His middle name David comes from his daddy... Andy's middle name is David! So, Gradyn got his first name and Eli got his middle name! So, there is the story of the name game when Eli David was born!
