Updating the bathroom

Andy and I decided it was time to update our upstairs bathroom.
We started by tearing off the tile that took up more than half of the bathroom walls and it was GROSS!
Then, Andy took out the ugly pink bathtub [348 lbs by himself might I add... I'm lucky to have a strong man! ;) ]
After he took out the tub, he saw that all the walls were all mush behind it so it was a good thing we decided to do this when we did!
There is a lot more work than we intended, but it will pay off in the end! It will be clean and fresh and new!
I help with what I can... mostly cleaning and picking up, but I got to tear off some tile and I get to do some mudding here in a little bit! :) Andy has been working very hard on everything! He enjoys doing these projects and learning how to do new things. I will be able to help more when it's time to paint the walls and the ceiling and whatever comes after that...

Here are some before pictures... I will update you when we are finished with the new clean look!

This is what the walls looked like after the tile was removed....

A date with Mia

For Christmas, Mia got a purse that she could color. One day she did not have school, I put Hadley and Grady down for their naps, and Mia and I had a date coloring her purse. I made us some hot cocoa, set out a candle, and we colored away at her purse. It turned out beautiful, but what turned out even more beautiful is the memories in our hearts! :)

A dream about swimming

Just had to share a dream that Hadley had last night...

About 5 AM, Hadley starts crying and would not stop. Andy went in there to see what was going on and she sits up and says,

"I want to go swimming now. Can we go swimming at Grandma's?" (My mom works at the Hampton Inn so we are able to swim there whenever.)

Andy replies, "OK, we will go swimming soon."

And then she just layed back down and was asleep before he left the room.

It came time for Hadley to wake up and she comes down the stairs saying,

"OK, time to go swimming!"

Apparently, she had her heart set on swimming. She's been reminding me to call Grandma all day today!

I guess not being able to swim for so long, it's like a dream come true now! :)

Little Mommy's

The girls got little personalized aprons from Grandma this year for Christmas and it's turned them into little mommy's. They love to put those little aprons on and help me cook and clean. Its quite helpful and cute! :)

Hadley also got a cleaning set that comes with a broom, vacuum, etc.
Right here she's helping daddy vacuum up the big mess he made! :)
