Girls Day Out

Make a PhotoShow Full Size

On Saturday, my sister and I got a girls day out. We pampered ourselves. Awhile back we were talking and said that we'd be one of those people that your friends turn you in to that makeover show because since we've had kids, we havent had time to fix our selves up and had no reason to. So, we decided to do it ourselves!
First, we got our hair CHOPPED off! I've never had my hair short before. I think it makes me look older. I told the girl who did my hair that i wanted to look like a mom that has two children, not a 18 year old college girl. I think it worked. :) Now, i just have to learn how to work with it. Then we went to wal-mart and target to get some nail polish and extra goodies. Then we picked up our specialty coffees and went to my house where we sipped on our coffee while doing our nails! It was a blast! ANdy ended up sneaking upstairs while we hid in the bathroom because neither Andy or her husband were allowed to see us till later! :) Then he left Hadley down so i could feed her.
After we did our nails, we went upstairs and did our makeup and got all dressed up. Then Holly's husband, Mark and her daughter, Brianna came over and everybody waited downstairs for us to come down and make our big entrance! It was just like the makeover show... well... kindof!
Then we went on a double date. We first went to Senor Lunas, then bowling. We were kid free thankful to Charlotte who babysat all three of them! God Bless her!
It was a great day and a fun night! If I had to do it all over again, I definetely would! It was very nice to have that quality time with my sister too!

Puddles

Make a PhotoShow Full Size

Yesterday, I was feeling a bit down so Andy suggested a walk to the park to burn some on Mianna's energy. So, we did and it was alright. But on our way back, we ran into some puddles and of course Mianna could not resist them. Right through them she went... And then of course dad followed. And then because they were having so much fun, I had to join in! It was so much fun. We stayed in those puddles for a good 1/2 hour jumping and splashing and have so much fun. Then we decided we should go home. But dad had the idea of walking to the river right behind our house, so we did. And it was cold, but we played in there probally for another 1/2 hour! Mianna loved it! She splashed and kicked, and decided to take her pants off and go all the way in :) And dad followed! Not me. I wasnt that crazy :) We had so much fun! Thats definetely what I needed to cheer me up... some good family time! Those are the memories you treasure the most! Thanks God for knowing what I need and giving me such a wonderful family!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Make a PhotoShow Full Size

Last wkd, the girls and I suprised Andy with a trip to the Wisconsin Dellsfor his birthday! He was definetely surprised. We had him close his eyes the entire way there! Of course he fell asleep so that wasnt too hard for him :)
I had reservations at the Best Western for Friday night. Then we had planned on coming home Saturday. When we got there, Mianna and I first ran in and decorated the room, then she guided him with his eyes closed to the room. He only ran into the wall a couple times with her guidance :)
Friday night, we started off by eating, then went golfing at the Pirates Cove. It was very busy, but a ton of fun! After that it was rather late so we went walking down town hoping Mianna would fall asleep so we could get some alone time in, but that didnt happen,so we stopped to watch a juggler on the corner with some ice cream. Then we went back and went straight to bed! We were tired.
The next morning, we got up and headed over to the army ducks! It was a lot of fun. Mianna really enjoyed the ride! After the ducks, we went to Storybook Gardens and the Wildlife park for the day. There was so much to see. The Storybook Gardens part of the park was rather run down and really needs to be updated, but the wildlife park was all worth going. We saw all sorts of animals, took a ride on the very small train, and watched an animal show that was very cool! The best part of the whole park was we got to feed the giraffs!!!! Something that I wanted to do on our honeymoon at the San Diego wild park, but it was $40! But not here!!!! It was awesome! Then we left the park and were going to head home. But if we went home then, we wouldnt get home till 9 pm and we still didnt get our alone time in eather! So, Andy and I talked and decided to stay another night hopeing that this time Mianna would fall asleep early. So, we took her over to the park while Andy called all the hotels and motels in the area. They were all BOOKED! All 150 of them! But we got lucky and stayed in a small cabin for the night. Then we got a bite to eat and went down town again. This time we saw a Indian hoop dancer. Pretty cool :) Then it happened, Mianna fell asleep... at 10:30pm!!!! haha. So, Andy and went to Adventures Golf. We strolled Mianna around in the stroller and carried Hadley in her car seat. We had alone time at last and it was great! Andy and I had a ton of fun! Very well needed!
The next morning after breakfast we went on the Original Ducks where Mianna and Hadley both slept! Then we went over to the Deer Farm and fed the deer. It was pretty fun, but a bit hot. After that, we decided the birthday vacation better end, so we drove home!
The trip was so awesome! We got family time and Andy and me time in! :)
Overall Andy had a great birthday and was very surprised!

Hadley's 2 month Dr. apt

Hadley is now 2 months old. Goes way too fast :(
She had her Dr. apt last night... just wanted to share the statistics with you:

She now weighs 10 lbs, 2oz. She is in the 25th % for weight.
She is 23" long. She is in the 60th% for height.

She is doing great they said. She has a bit of tortecolic(Sp?) so we have to do stretches with her. Dr. said it's not an issue unless it doesnt go away by the time she is 6 months old. Im not worried because Mianna had it too.
She is right on with everything. She's a growing girl! :)

She had four shots. 2 in each leg. She screamed! Mianna didnt like that eather. She was scared and sad to see her baby sister in pain :(
She reacted a bit with the shots. She was up A LOT last night giving me no sleep. At 2 am- 7, she barely slept. She was unconfortable. So, at 4:30am, Andy ran out to get tylenol for her. Then she fell back to sleep till 6. Then at 6, she woke up extremely fussy. She had a temp. of 102.8 so i called the dr and they said that was a bit high, to just watch her. She has been very fussy, but her fever came down to 100. She's doing better now, just needing a lot of mommy's attention! Nothing wrong with that :)
I think thats about it! She's a very good girl we are so blessed to have such a laid back baby. Makes me think that we can't stop here... we have such good babies! :)

Happy 3rd Anniversary

Make a PhotoShow Full Size
Today marks Andy and my 3rd anniversary! I am so lucky to be married to such a wonderful man. God really knows what he is doing when he put me and Andy together. He is everything I'd ever want in a man. He is so sweet, caring, loves me soooo much, fun, funny, he helps me so much around the house, makes dinner occasionally, gives me time to sleep in on wkds if we have time, has a strong relationship with the Lord, finds time to spend time in his word everyday, is involved in so many things in the church, shares the Gospel at any chance he has, is a wonderful fun father, is there for us when I need him, listens to what I have to say, always gives good advice, and always puts a smile on my face. I love him so much. And I am looking forward to many more years to come! :)
Saturday we celebrated our anniversary. We carried on our tradition of going rock climbing and to the Melting Pot. We've done it every year so far for our anniversary and will continue to do it until were out of shape :) It was so much fun to just have that time together. We got a babysitter for the girls all day. It was Hadley's first time away from me all day. She took the bottle very well. It was such a good day :) Thank you God!
