1st day of no cast
The night Hadley got her cast off, she got a bath with Mianna. Mia was thrilled to get to take a bath with her. She kept tickling her little belly! :)
Hadley LOVED the bath. It made Andy and I so sad to see her having so much fun knowing in less than a wk, bath time will be done for another 3 months. But while we can, were going to enjoy it! She splashed and splashed and was a wild little monkey! :)
I will post every day with not having a cast on as I have a chance!

Getting Hadley's Cast Off
The day finally came to get Hadley's cast off! It was a little bit scary for her with the loud noise and the saw coming at her, but once it was over, she did great. It took a little while to get through all the layers of cast, but then afterwards I got to wash her up with a sponge and water and put a lot of lotion on her. Her skin looked awesome overall. A lot of kids when they get there cast off are all bruised and dry and a lot even have open sore spots, but Hadley's skin looked great other than dirty and a little red. But thats all gone now! After getting her cast off we waited around to talk to the Dr about some stuff. We will not know any results until next wk when she goes back in to get another cast. They will xray her and we'll see if there's been any improvements. They informed us that with the first couple casts, there isn't always improvement, but there could be with the later casts. Dr also reminded us that kids with curves over 60 degrees, the chances of having surgery are much higher than under 60 degrees. He pretty much said with statistics, there hasn't yet been any cases that a child with a curve over 60 degrees that hasn't needed surgery, but he would be happy to have the first. And so would we. Hearing that stabbed me right in the heart and I did everything I could to not break down in front of them. But Andy reminded me again that statistics are nothing compared to what God can do. He could straighten her spine up right now if it is his will. We just have to trust that his plan for Hadley and her back is for the best, whatever journey it brings. But please pray that she wont have to have the surgery because if she does, they will try to postpone it until she is 3 or 4, but then after that, she'll have to have surgery every 6 months until she is done growing which is around age 8 or 9. That sounds horrible to us and is obviously our last resort. So, that is how our day down in Chicago went. Weather turned out great and driving went fast! Hadley is happy to be free! We took a bath later that night, but I will post this on another post! :) Thanks for your prayers and please pray for next wk. I'm dreading it soooo much. I don't want to give my baby back! I want to keep her squishy little body forever! But I know its for the better to recast her :/

Hadley's LAST day in her 1st Cast!
Tomorrow is the BIG day!!!!!! Hadley gets her cast off! I can't wait! I've been looking forward to this day for 2 months now :) So many baths and sand and swimming! A wk full of fun things to do. And don't forget all the snuggling with our squishy little girl ;)
This wk is also a big wk in telling whether the cast is correcting Hadley's spine or not. So, please pray that it is!
For a couple months now I've been looking forward to tomorrow and haven't even thought about next wk(recasting her), but today it set in. Its going to be a rough day having to get her cast back on again after having her free of it for one wk. I just want my baby! But we have to remember, that God has a very special plan for her and trust him!
Stay updated for LOTS of pictures of Hadley WITHOUT her cast on and our fun wk ahead of us!
Here is Hadley one more time in her first cast....

Still smiling like always ;)

Mianna's new haircut
Mianna wanted to cut her hair short so we finally did it! She always says, I want my hair short like mommy :) This time she went really short. It looks super cute. Makes her look like such a big girl! We took her back to her favorite place in West Bend. She sat in the red car chair again and watched Dora as she was getting it cut!

Life as it is lately...
Life has been busy lately and I dont always have time to keep everybody updated with our daily adventures so I decided to share a little bit of what the girl's have been into lately:
Mianna has been into her baby. She likes to do what I do with Hadley.

Hadley can go down the slide all by herself. And she is so proud!

Grandpa raises chickens through work and Mianna had a chance to go out with Grandma and Grandpa to see them when they are still little chics!

Lots of Biking. We've been doing a lot of biking after work! It's a fun cheap hobby we all enjoy :)

Hadley has been enjoying the outdoor life! At every chance she gets, she sees the door and wants to play outside! And when were inside, she'll sit at the front door and watch outside...

Picnic fun. We've been doing a lot of picnics in our yards and at the parks!

More outside fun. We spend a lot of our days outside when its nice out!

Camping Memorial Wkd
On Memorial Wkd we went camping. Beautiful weather, but lots of masquitos! The trip was fun and eventful, but it will be our last until Hadley is either walking or out of her cast. She was too limited in what she could do since with her cast she couldnt roll around in the dirt too much, so she got bored. We did a lot of hiking, a lot of napping, and a lot of relaxing! It was a good trip minus all the masquitos. We actually cut the trip short because of rain coming, but mostly because of the attack of masquitos. When we saw blood dripping down Hadley's head from them, we said enough! But it was a fun trip overall! Mianna had a blast though she was sensitive from not getting enough sleep! :) Enjoy the pics!
