Surgery went really well. The dr said it was a good thing she got her tonsils and adenoid removed because her adenoid was so large it was blocking her nasal passage way. He said like a cork in a bottle.
So, now we are recovering! The first day went well, the 2nd is a little harder. Her pain is being controlled mostly with a prescription tylenol. She is having a hard time wanting to drink at all, which is a necessity in order to avoid more pain and problems. Were trying ice juice, juice boxes, smoothies, shakes, apple sauce, yogurt, cottage cheese, etc. But most of all, we are pushing the liquids. Unfortunately her pain meds taste gross so it's rather a push to get her to take that as well. We were told day 2 would be harder, then things would get better, but then hard again on day 5-6 because her scabs will fall off causing more pain.
But it wont be long and she'll be herself in no time! Were really hoping this will make a difference in Mianna's life and motivation!
