Forgiveness

A character trait that we teach our children is forgiveness!

Ephesians 4:32:

"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."

When any of our children disrespect or hurt another, they are to apologize to them and to ask for their forgiveness. When doing so, they have to hug them and also give them a kiss as an apologetic act.

The child receiving the apologies should then forgive the other.

It doesn't always go like this. There is often attitudes involved when apologizing and a lot of not wanting to forgive, but it's a character trait we practice and someday we hope they will openly be forgiving to others and ask for forgiveness when needed!
